Meet our team. Here at the Yorkshire I have tried create a "Family team" of dedicated staff to take care of our guests.
We have 63 rooms in the hotel and we employ approximately 70 staff,which is around 20% more that the industry norm, for a 3 star hotel.
Nothing rewards me more, than seeing the smiling faces of our many returning guests,when they see there favourite member of staff again.
As you may be aware here at the Yorkshire, we have instigated a ++ policy,relating to all charges in the hotel.This was a difficult decision to make,but saying that it has proved to be very successful.
Before instigating the policy we were finding that,after training our staff, they were then leaving, to work in a 4/5 star hotel where they received service charge.We were then forced to constantly to recruit new staff and start the training process all over again.
The 'optional" 10% service charge is all given to our staff,with the exception of a small amount which is used to provide all of them with a private accident health care scheme at the Bangkok/Phuket hospital and a sickness and life insurance benefit.
I personally receive many positive comments about our staff. There smiling faces and positive attitude definitely uplift the quality of this family style hotel.
